![]() "Members of the Black Law Association at the University of Virginia held a candlelight vigil and discussion Tuesday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Students read King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech and discussed his legacy and the impact his death had on civil rights. "It was such a privilege and honor to celebrate the legacy of Dr. King, especially being an African American student and going to universities like University of Virginia or Vanderbilt, where maybe 50 or 60 years ago I would have not been in an attendance," said UVa law student Ogechi Achuko ('13), who spoke at the event. UVa Law School alumni Michael Cody ('61) was one of the guest speakers. He represented Dr. King during the civil rights movement. Civil rights activist Julian Bond also spoke."
