One of UVA BLSA's mock trial teams reached the final round of the Mid-Atlantic Black Law Students Association's Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Tournament! The team was composed of two first-year students, Layi Ali-Ajibode and Sean Suber and two third-year students, Nicole Hrusovsky and Amanda Gray-Williams. We are very proud of this team and the rest of the 2011-2012 mock trial team: Ogechi Acuko, Chalana Williams, William Scott Terrell, Theresa Clark, Amanda Oakes, and Amanda Turner.
We're also very appreciative of the team's coaches Professors Karen Moran and Earl Dudley. We look forward to participating in the competition next year.
Aaron Gober-Sims ('14) was elected MABLSA Parliamentarian at the 44th Annual Mid-Atlantic Black Law Students Association Convention! He is preceded by UVA BLSA member Tamiesha Robinson ('12) who served as Parliamentarian for 2011-2012 MABLSA team which was honored as Region of the Year at the National Convention. Congratulations to both members!
