Greetings from Phoenix, Arizona!

We hope that you will encourage 2L students from the Black Law Students Association to consider our firm, Osborn Maledon, for their 2013 Summer.  OM is a leading law firm in Phoenix, Arizona, providing litigation, business, and general counsel solutions for our clients in the Southwest and nationwide.

At Osborn Maledon our commitment to excellent lawyering and public service drives us to hire and inspire attorneys and staff members with exceptional potential who reflect the diverse communities and clients we serve. We are determined to provide a professional home where people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives share their talents and successes. We best serve our clients and community through colleagues whose varying points of view bring an array of approaches to problems and who collaborate effectively to deliver timely solutions.

OM’s Summer Program is designed to provide meaningful work on actual cases, deals, negotiations, and transactions. We encourage our summer associates to self-select their projects based on their interests, which enables them to work with a variety of attorneys and within different areas of practice.  Our program also provides opportunities to spend time with our attorneys outside the office at dinner parties, baseball games, and community service events.

Many of our attorneys, including a number of former U.S. Supreme Court clerks, came to Phoenix just to practice with this firm.  Why?  We encourage our lawyers to define for themselves a practice that has meaning and purpose.  We also afford them opportunities to pursue interests beyond private practice -- to participate in government, community, bar, and pro bono activities, and to take periodic sabbaticals.

OM lawyers have distinguished themselves throughout their careers. They are leaders in the bar, both in Arizona and nationally. Among our former colleagues are judges on the Arizona Superior Court, the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Arizona Supreme Court, and the U.S District Court for the District of Arizona.

Phoenix is a livable and affordable city, with a dynamic economy, tremendous outdoor recreation, a progressive court system, and abundant opportunities to make a difference in the legal profession, government, and our community.

We believe OM is unique, you be the judge.  You can learn more about our philosophy, policies, and attorneys from our firm's website, www.omlaw.com.  I have also attached our firm resume, NALP form, and Chambers brochure.  To learn more about the OM Summer Program and to apply directly, please click here.  Applications should be submitted by September 1 for consideration in the 2013 Summer Program.

If I can answer any questions about OM or tell you more about what the firm has to offer, please contact me.

Best,

Davinia Perrin
