Community Relations

A primary goal of BLSA is to foster relationships with the larger community and address issues affecting black law students in today's society. To accomplish this, UVA BLSA participates in and sponsors several outreach efforts including:

- Rake-A-Thon with Habitat for Humanity
- International Service Trip
- Oliver Hill Scholarship

Social Events

At times, the pressure of law school can be overwhelming.  For this reason, BLSA makes it a priority to promote wellness and balance. The Virginia Law Chapter of BLSA sponsors a number of social programming events to help students get to know each other, foster lasting relationships, and have fun.

We also take pride in supporting the Social Action efforts of our chapter in support of the surrounding community. Our chapter encourages our members to not only be informed citizens, but engaged, culturally responsible advocates.
